Child Development Instructional Specialist / Toddler - Full Time
Position is categorically funded – the position is contingent upon continued funding and Board approval.
Important Instructions- The position is Full Time (1.0 FTE – 12 Months) with a typical commitment of 40 hours per week.
Work schedule:

- Compliance with Education Code §87408.6: a TB examination within the last 60 days is required.
- As a condition of employment, you must provide fingerprints to the local police department; the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI fingerprint fee is employee’s responsibility.
- Fingerprint clearance must be received prior to the employee’s first day on the job.
Under the direction of an Administrator or designee, plan, organize and evaluate learning experiences for Early Childhood Education students and for children in a children’s center learning lab environment. Please visit the class specification for representative duties, minimum qualifications, desired qualifications, and other requirements.
Required QualificationsEducation and Experience: Must meet applicable state regulations, including any combination equivalent to 24 units ECE/CD with core courses, plus 16 GE units, 6 units specialization, 2 units adult supervision, 3 units Infant/Toddler as required by CCL Title 22, and 350 days experience in a child care center within the past four years. Must maintain permit by completing professional development signed by a certified professional development instructor (permit application within 30 days of hire).
- A valid Child Development Master Teacher Permit or equivalent (permit application within 30 days of hire).
- A valid First Aid, CPR and AED Certificate issued by an authorized agency.
- A California Child Care Provider Health and Safety Certificate (to be obtained within 30 working days from hire date).
- Driver’s license and/or ability to provide own transportation to and from assigned sites.

Salary RangeSalary Range: $22.51 - $28.79 Per Hour (Steps 3 - 11) placement based on candidate’s years of experience and educational qualifications.
