Job Title

Adjunct Administration of Justice Instructor - Yuba College

Location

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES :

  • Provide leadership in the development and maintenance of a relevant community college curriculum in Administration of Justice.
  • Provide instruction in Law Enforcement and Corrections Associate and Certificate programs.
  • Prepare complete course syllabi and outline, and work on articulation with local colleges and universities.
  • Adapt instructional techniques to accommodate varied learning styles and abilities to support student success.
  • Teach day, evening, and/or weekend assignments.
  • Participate in district/college/division committees as required to maintain and improve the instructional program.
  • Establish and participate in the activities of the Administration of Justice Advisory Committee.
  • Be committed to the participatory governance process.

Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Required Qualifications

  • Any associate degree and six years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR
  • Any bachelor’s degree and two years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR
  • The equivalent OR
  • Possess a California Community Life credential in the subject matter area.
