Job Description
Basic Function- Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Ecology courses up to 10 hours/week
- Organize and teach all levels of Ecology classes
- Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning
- Teach day, evening, and/or weekend assignments, including distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses
- Assess Student Learning Outcomes each semester
- Participate in department, division, and college‑wide initiatives and committees if desired
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Required Qualifications- Master’s in ecology or environmental studies
- or equivalent
- or see Interdisciplinary Studies
- Master’s in the interdisciplinary area
- or Master’s in one of the disciplines included in the interdisciplinary area and upper‑division or graduate coursework in at least one other constituent discipline
Preference may be given to candidates with life or teaching experience which would demonstrate clear ability to teach History to community college students.
