Location: Sparks
Join our team in Sparks, MD, where you'll be part of a dynamic and essential operation in a temperature-controlled environment. As a Warehouse Operations Operator, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and accurate handling of products within our distribution center.
Duties and Responsibilities- Pallet/Case Picking:
- Process customer orders including scanning bar codes, picking, and labeling boxes.
- Pick, pack, and process orders using RF technology.
- Maintain an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
- Complete all necessary RF device training to obtain the necessary profiles.
- Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.
- Pallet Build:
- Palletizing includes scanning, retrieving, and placing completed orders on pallets.
- Re-palletize products for shipment.
- May perform dock manifest duties, including scanning completed pallets and running the shrink wrapper.
- Transport pallets using Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.
- Inbound/Outbound/Inventory Movement:
- Load/unload shipments utilizing the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Ensure safe loading/off-loading of pallets to prevent damage.
- Complete all assigned duties in accordance with department standards.
- May operate the parcel manifest station and handle transportation documentation.
- Maintain an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
- Adhere to safety instructions to maintain safe working conditions.
- Perform other duties as assigned and maintain current status in C2C training modules.
- Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.
- Material Handling Equipment:
- Operate equipment safely, reporting damage/maintenance issues immediately.
- Keep equipment neat and orderly in compliance with procedures.
- Maintain equipment certification at all times.
- Safety and Security:
- Perform job activities safely and in accordance with safety requirements.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse security and report any hazards or suspicious activity immediately.
- Quality:
- Understand and contribute to organizational quality goals.
- Sanitation and Housekeeping:
- Maintain a clean and professional image and ensure facility cleanliness.
- Keep work area clean, neat, and orderly at all times.
- Hazmat Training:
- May receive Hazmat training, including general awareness, function-specific, security awareness, security plan, and safety training.
- Cross-training:
- Become knowledgeable about other warehouse positions and assist as required.
- High School diploma, GED, or 2 years of relevant experience required.
- Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counter Balance, and Dock Stocker.
- Must obtain Forklift Certification to meet Client guidelines.
- Good verbal communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment and under minimal supervision.
- Experience in operating MHE and using Voice/RF scanner.
- Ability to perform in a metrics-driven environment with basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- General distribution knowledge and ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
- Exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment.
- Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

The associate may occasionally be required to climb. The job may require lifting up to 50lbs in some areas but not all. The position will almost always have exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment.
- Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm. Overtime opportunities available.
