Position Overview

We’re looking for a dependable Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for safely delivering and picking up equipment, products, and materials to and from a variety of locations — including job sites, customers, and suppliers.

You’ll represent Beitzel Corporation in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining safe driving practices at all times. The position involves operating a range of vehicles, including light-duty trucks, crane trucks, dump trucks, off-road vehicles, and other equipment requiring a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

We’re seeking someone with a solid understanding of commercial transportation and a willingness to learn about our wide range of products and services. Flexibility is key — this role may include occasional overnight travel, extended hours, and work on nights, weekends, or holidays (always within DOT guidelines).

What You'll Do
  • Perform equipment and material deliveries and retrievals in an organized, professional, proficient, and safe manner
  • Adhere to all DOT and company safety protocol including accident response, reporting and documentation procedures
  • Properly and safely load, secure, and unload materials for delivery and pick-up utilizing methods such as tarping, strapping, chaining, positioning, etc.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles to include performing regular safety inspections such as pre/post trip inspections, monitoring load and equipment condition during transport, etc.
  • Effectively problem solve issues and concerns that may arise with both equipment and customers
  • Complete all necessary documentation in an accurate and timely manner such as ELD's, vehicle inspection reports, job safety analysis, delivery tickets, logbooks, pick tickets, permits, etc.

Working Conditions

  • Sit and operate a CDL class vehicle for extended periods of time (within DOT regulations)
  • Talk, hear, see, smell, read and write
  • Regularly walk; hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
  • Perform repetitive tasks in an environment that includes excessive noise, vibrations, and other environmental factors
  • Kneel, stoop, twist, bend, squat, and climb
  • Maintain balance and footing in a variety of environments including tight spaces, unpredictable/slippery surfaces, uneven terrain, etc.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of experience as a Class A commercial truck driver
  • Must possess a valid Class A - Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Experience driving in settings such as inclement weather, unpaved and narrow roads, steep grade, etc. preferred
  • Ability to maintain awareness of vehicle condition to plan preventative maintenance in advance
  • Working knowledge of safety protocols within the transportation & construction industry
  • Basic knowledge of safe and proper materials handling and securement
  • Basic knowledge of rigging and lifting
  • Must be proficient in load management and ensure that loads are balanced, secured, and legal
