Dump Truck Driver – Churchville, MD

Patuxent Materials, Inc. is seeking highly motivated and experienced Dump Truck Drivers. The Dump Truck Driver’s duties include safely driving and operating the dump truck and all its components, managing the administration of receiving and fulfilling customer orders, and providing excellent customer service.

Churchville, MD

• Must have a valid CDL (A or
  
  B) driver’s license.
• One (1) year of experience driving a dump truck or similar vehicle.

• Deliver aggregate products to customers efficiently and safely.
• Inspect loads to ensure that the material is correct.
• Ensure that the material is secure and the tarp is in the correct position.
• Ensure the customer understands all forms and completes paperwork accurately.
• Properly fill out all paperwork (tickets, etc.) in an accurate and legible manner.
• Keep the truck clean from dirt and excess grease.
• Fuel vehicle at the end of your work shift.
• Report all breakdowns and equipment malfunctions immediately to your supervisor.
• Report all accidents to the supervisor promptly.
• Hauls materials safely to designated areas, maintains safe speed, and observes all regulations.
• Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations.
• Maintain truck logs.

• Ability to safely climb in and out of the vehicle.
• A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines.
• Capacity to provide and follow direction.
• Sharp decision‑making skills, particularly when under pressure.
• Ability to work extended hours, as required.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Obtain and keep current medical DOT certification card.
• Clean driving record.
