Akkodis is seeking a Lead Java Developer for a Contract opportunity in Owings Mills, MD (Onsite).
The ideal candidate will serve as a technical lead within GIO Pod #3, contributing to high‑performance backend development using advanced Java concepts and Spring Boot. This role requires deep hands‑on expertise in architecting, designing, and delivering scalable enterprise applications.
Rate Range: $41/hour to $56/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Responsibilities Include
- Leading design, development, and implementation of enterprise‑grade Java applications using advanced Java frameworks
- Guiding developers, conducting code reviews, ensuring high‑quality deliverables, and maintaining engineering best practices
- Building scalable backend solutions using Spring Boot, microservices patterns, and modern API architectures
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements, define technical solutions, and ensure smooth delivery
- Troubleshooting complex production and development issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring application reliability
- Providing technical leadership, mentorship, and contributing to overall solution architecture
- 10+ years of hands‑on experience in Java development
- Expertise in Advanced Java Concepts and Spring Boot
- Strong knowledge of microservices, RESTful services, dependency injection, security patterns, and cloud‑ready architectures
- Experience leading development teams and managing full SDLC activities
- Excellent analytical, communication, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills

Pay Details: $41.00 to $56.00 per hour
