Overview
Akkodis is seeking a Lead Android Developer for a Contract with a client in Owings Mills, MD
. You will lead architectural and design decisions and mentor developers to ensure high-quality, scalable applications.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of advanced Android applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and mobile standards.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering technical growth and ensuring high-quality code contributions.
- Collaborate with architecture, UX, Dev Ops, and security teams to drive technical decisions and deliver scalable, secure solutions.
- Oversee full application lifecycle activities—including development, testing, debugging, publishing, and ongoing support.
- Conduct code reviews, provide actionable feedback, and enforce best practices in coding, testing, and performance optimization.
- Lead discussions on tactical vs. strategic approaches, making informed decisions and highlighting trade-offs to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in Android development with proven expertise in full-lifecycle mobile application delivery.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and modern mobile architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead development teams, make architectural decisions, and drive high-impact technical solutions.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $53.00 per hour
