Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer - Software, Full Stack Developer

Overview

Big Bear.ai is seeking a Software Engineer to work with a team of developers to support enterprise web applications across multiple fabrics. The candidate will develop and support Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) capabilities for the enterprise and stand‑alone deployment throughout the IC. The position is hybrid and will be located in Hanover, MD.

• Provide input throughout the software lifecycle to include testing
• Implement new features, capabilities and address defects
• Define, manage, and deliver capabilities within an existing team

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer engineering or a related field; 8+ years of software engineering experience required
• 3+ years’ work experience in the SIGINT, IA, or IT domains required (or 4+ years of experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree, for a total of 12 years)
• Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly
• Java development experience
• Ability to review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements, document test results and correct code as needed
• Experience performing development in the eVo environment, familiar with tools such as Grey Box, Spring, Docker, etc.
• Use of Gitlab, CI/CD, build pipelines
• Understanding of full‑stack development

• Familiarity with AWS
• Experience performing software life‑cycle activities to ensure high system performance, availability, and compliance with business requirements
• Administrative experience maintaining and implementing policies to ensure application security and integrity
• Excellent oral and written communication skills – able to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts
• Ability to write technical documentation including wiki sites, blogs, XML/HTML
• Strong organization and time‑management skills, able to multi‑task and work independently with minimum supervision to meet deadlines
• Experience engaging with leadership, customers, and interfacing teams
