Position:
Level 3 Cloud Software Engineer

The Cloud Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software Big-Data Cloud systems based upon documented requirements. Responsibilities include analyzing and indexing back-end processing, contributing expertise in Cloud Computing, Hadoop Eco-System, Java application development, Distributed Computing, Information Retrieval, and Object-Oriented Design. The role involves reviewing and testing software components, resolving issues, and providing input on system design, including hardware/software trade-offs and software reuse.

The Level 3 Cloud Software Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:

Provide in-depth knowledge of Information Retrieval; assist in designing, developing, and testing Cloud Information Retrieval systems.

Implement complex workflows managing Cloud Map Reduce analytics.

Implement code interacting with Cloud Distributed Coordination Frameworks.

Oversee software development tasks, ensuring adherence to project constraints.

Recommend improvements for documentation and development standards.

Serve as subject matter expert for Cloud Computing and Hadoop technologies.

Debug issues with Cloud-based Distributed Computing Frameworks.

Manage multi-node Cloud installations.

Delegate and monitor programming and testing responsibilities.

Select appropriate software development processes in coordination with stakeholders.

Recommend new technologies and processes for cloud software projects.

Ensure quality control of all software developed or modified.

Architect solutions to complex cloud software engineering problems, focusing on efficient data processing and retrieval.

Minimum Requirements:

Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
At least 12 years of software engineering experience on similar programs, including 2 years in Big-Data Cloud technologies or Distributed Computing.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
