York Building Products is looking for a mechanic who loves the smell of diesel in the morning, takes pride in solving tough mechanical problems, and keeps heavy equipment running like a dream.

• Inspect, maintain, and repair our fleet of mobile mining and heavy equipment — loaders, dozers, haul trucks, excavators, and more.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) to keep downtime low and production rolling.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Use OEM diagnostic software to get to the root of the problem fast.
• Weld, fabricate, and modify parts when needed.
• Log inspections and repairs in our CMMS system.
• Keep safety first — always — following MSHA/OSHA and company standards.

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or Mobile Equipment Technician.
• Expert knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and software (Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere, etc.).
• Ability to diagnose, repair, and rebuild diesel engines, transmissions, and components.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• The drive to work hard, stay safe, and take pride in your work.
