Bay Ready Mix is actively seeking skilled diesel mechanics to join our dynamic team in the Jessup, Maryland area. This position is essential for maintaining our fleet of medium and heavy-duty trucks, as well as material handling and construction equipment.

The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge and hands-on expertise in vehicle maintenance, specifically focusing on preventive maintenance (PM), follow-up repairs, and the intricacies of hydraulic systems. An understanding of DOT inspection compliance is also a crucial aspect of this role.

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM), follow-up repairs, and component diagnostics on medium and heavy-duty trucks, material handling and construction equipment.
• Maintain and service hydraulic systems and ensure DOT inspection compliance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to maintain fleet availability.

• Reasonable Suspicion Testing:
  Any employee displaying signs of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol while in the workplace will be subject to drug and alcohol testing. The determination by an authorized, trained representative of Ernest Maier, Inc. must be based on specific, contemporaneous, articulable observations concerning appearance, behavior, speech, or body odors.
• Managers / Supervisors must ensure that all employees under their supervision are physically and mentally able to perform the duties required. All employees are encouraged to report to their supervisors in confidence any time they have a concern about the ability of a coworker to perform.
