As ACI continues to grow, we are seeking highly skilled Large Commercial/Industrial Burner Technicians to join our union team.

The Large Commercial/Industrial Burner Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of burners, boilers, and combustion equipment across large commercial and industrial facilities.

This role offers a unique opportunity to:

• Work on high-capacity burners ranging from 10M to 100M BTU
  , across a wide range of manufacturers
• Apply expertise in parallel positioning
  , full metered combustion systems
  , and burner management
• Support the performance, safety, and optimization of essential heating and combustion systems

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and burner/boiler control system issues
• Perform combustion testing, efficiency tuning, and necessary adjustments
• Resolve system performance issues to ensure safe and optimal operation

• Conduct service and startup of large commercial/industrial burners, boilers, and combustion systems
• Verify system readiness, test functionality, and commission equipment

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance
• Conduct safety checks to verify compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions

• Complete detailed service reports
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and system status to clients and internal teams

• Participate in the on-call rotation (as required)
• Provide technical support and collaborate with the team on complex issues

• Seasoned Technician with experience across multiple manufacturers of large commercial industrial burners and combustion controls
• Familiarity with parallel positioning and full metered burner combustion control systems
• Experience working on burners in the 10M to 100M BTU range
• Strong experience with Burner Management Systems
• Instrumentation skills (transmitters, meters, and related burner equipment)
• HVAC, mechanical, or electrical qualifications/certifications
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work within the DC/Baltimore region
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
