Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Mechanic. This mechanic/technician role performs preventive maintenance, conducts diagnostics and makes repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime. Our fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment. Our specialty lines locations may have a fleet of large-scale power-generators, pumps, HVAC systems and oil/gas related equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime
• Work on a fleet that includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment (and large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment at specialty locations)
• Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices in all maintenance activities

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired
• Experience:
  
  3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel/heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred
• Knowledge/
  
  Skills:
  
  Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting; ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Other:
  May need to provide mechanic's tools; bilingual ability may be required based on location
• Physical:
  Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift 50 pounds or more; work indoors/outdoors as required

Base Pay Range: $24.58 - 33.80
