Field Service Technician

ASGCO engineers, manufactures, and distributes a wide array of conveyor and screening components, all specifically designed for the above-ground and underground mining, aggregate, cement, recycling, bulk shipping terminals, pulp and paper, food processing and other bulk material handling industries. We focus on providing exceptional products and service to our customers with the best solutions to their conveyor and screening material handling applications.

• Install new, change out, repair or splice conveyor belt
• Demonstrate proper safe use of handling of tools, equipment and materials
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Follow instructions under the leadership of the Crew Lead to ensure all aspects of the job are covered to avoid any time‑consuming delays and hazards, including task training before beginning operations
• Ensure equipment is maintained in proper working order to avoid injury and work areas are kept clean/free of hazards which may endanger the health/safety of any employee
• Take part in our Conveyor Technician training programs for advancement
• Be willing and able to work a variety of schedules on‑call, including dayshift, night shift and weekends
• Comply with all policies and procedures in Employee Handbook

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Reliable transportation and active driver’s license
• Very hands‑on mechanical aptitude
• Millwright experience a plus
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Ability to travel
• Effective communication is required
• Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed or as schedule requires
• Must be able to obtain all applicable Federal and State underground and surface certifications and successfully complete industry approved training courses
• Must successfully pass a post‑offer drug test and background check

• Work performed in various industrial settings and environments, including shop, mining, and construction, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles
• Stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see while performing duties
• Lifting moderately heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) occasionally required
• Personal protective equipment required regularly, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed respirator, gloves and other required protective equipment
