Journeyman Electrician

Purpose

The Journeyman / Electrician is responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. This individual serves as an apprentice and works under the supervision of a master electrician or foreman. The Journeyman / Electrician plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and compliance with electrical codes and regulations.

The Journeyman / Electrician is expected to perform various operational tasks related to the trade. This includes working with tools, machinery, and materials, and following established safety protocols while maintaining a deep understanding of applicable regulations, industry standards, and best practices.

• Operational Execution:
  Perform tasks related to installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, following safety protocols.
• Technical Knowledge:
  Provide technical guidance and support, using extensive knowledge of electrical codes and industry standards.
• Quality Control:
  Inspect and test materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards.

  Strong technical skills, attention to detail, problem‑solving abilities, understanding of safety protocols, and physical fitness for demanding tasks.

  Required or preferred certifications specific to the trade; must obtain and maintain necessary credentials.
