Lead HVAC Technician

Compensation $45.00 - $55.00/hour

HBS Solutions Inc. is growing fast and we’re looking for a highly skilled Lead HVAC Technician to join our expanding Field Operations team. In this leadership role, you’ll manage commercial HVAC installation projects from the front lines: guiding crews, ensuring top‑quality installations, and rolling up your sleeves to lead by example.

• Lead and perform HVAC system installations at commercial sites
• Supervise and mentor HVAC technicians and apprentices
• Assign tasks and oversee daily/weekly work plans
• Install and commission:
  • Rooftop Units (RTUs)
  • Split Systems & Heat Pumps
  • VRF/VRV Systems
  • Ductwork, Air Handlers, and Controls
• Troubleshoot installation issues and coordinate with project teams
• Ensure jobsite safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
• Track project progress, labor, and materials
• Train team members on best practices and safety procedures

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience (2+ years in a leadership role preferred)
• Hands‑on experience installing RTUs, split systems, VRF/VRV, ductwork, and piping
• Ability to lead teams and self‑perform installations
• EPA Universal Certification (required)
• Journeyman or Master HVAC license (preferred) or willingness to obtain
• Strong blueprint reading and plan interpretation skills
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership abilities
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
