What You Will Have An Opportunity To Do

We are looking for someone passionate about the culinary arts to join our Culinary team. This individual must be creative, motivated, and eager to grow their talents in the kitchen.

Successful candidates will have previous experience in a professional kitchen environment, with a strong desire to learn, develop skills, and work with the culinary leadership team to create menus reflecting seasonal availability and the concept of the restaurant.

The Baker role assists the Chef in production and fabrication of baked products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining. The Baker maintains a passive leadership role in ensuring adequate production levels for the kitchen staff.

Your Role

  • Follows recipes and/or product directions to prepare items from scratch such as breads, rolls, muffins, biscuits, etc.
  • Places products into correctly prepared pans.
  • Regulates the drafts and temperatures of the ovens.
  • Places items in ovens.
  • Removes baked items from ovens and applies appropriate toppings.
  • May clean and sanitize workstations and equipment.
  • Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.
  • Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
  • Complies with all Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures.
  • Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What Are We Looking For

  • Active Food handler’s certification or the ability to obtain it
  • Willingness to work a variety of day, night, and weekend shifts
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Stamina to be on your feet for long periods
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Desire to exceed expectations

Compensation

$17.30 to $19.30 per hour
