Main Purpose of Job

To control product quality on the line to customer specification. To verify control points of the product and log on relevant documentation. To action non-conformances and out of specifications resulting in full quality control and product safety.

Role and Activity
  • To lead the team to achieve required product quality.
  • Ensure the required standards of product quality are achieved.
  • To complete the paperwork at the required intervals, legibly and accurately.
  • To report all non-conformances to the line manager, QA, shift manager.
  • Ensure the responsible person signs relevant paperwork.
  • Attend taste panels.
  • Work in an organized manner and keep workstations tidy and clean.
  • Ensure food safety is not compromised and operate GMP standards.
  • Be aware of the production plan and changes; plan daily routines around product changeovers.
  • Contribute to achieving targets for rework, downtime and wastage.
  • Comply with company rules and safety procedures.
  • Collect all required samples per the QC sampling plan.
  • Attend weekly team brief and represent Froneri through behaviors and core values.
Measurable Outcomes
  • Lead by example and keep the team informed of changes and proper operation.
  • Maintain customer complaint and HOLD targets.
  • Paperwork audits show no non-conformances in written work.
  • Report non-conformances with evidence and line manager signatures on documentation.
  • Target taste panel scores are achieved; WASP/WIBIT panels attended.
  • Effective communication with line manager and colleagues to get it right first time.
  • GMP targets are met and audits are upheld; knowledge of GMP is shared.
  • Yield targets are achieved; prevent wastage, downtime and rework waste.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety requirements and complete required sampling.
  • Weekly attendance at team brief.
Levels of Responsibility
  • Completion of LQC paperwork.

  • Accept line only when signed off by line manager and machine operator.
  • Provide cover for absence of LQC with line management support.

Work environment:
Wet/humid areas, high noise levels, around mechanical, electrical, and pressurized equipment. Fast-paced with possible cold temperatures in some areas. Requires use of cold-protective PPE; standing, lifting, and walking in refrigerated zones may be required. Food safety regulations must be followed, including hygiene gear.

Compensation
:
The pay scale considers factors including experience and qualifications. The base pay for this role is $29 per hour, with opportunities for overtime, shift differential, cold premium pay and annual bonuses (variable based on company performance).
