We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Kingsville, MD. The ideal candidate will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing excellent care to our animal patients. This role involves assisting with daily clinical tasks, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring the comfort and safety of animals in our care.

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations and treatments.
• Handle and restrain animals safely and humanely.
• Prepare and clean examination rooms, surgical areas, and equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinary staff.
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient behavior.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with data entry.
• Provide compassionate care and support to animals and their owners.
• Assist with laboratory work, including sample collection and processing.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols.

• Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in a related role preferred.
• Knowledge of animal care and handling techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassion for animals and commitment to their well-being.
• Basic computer skills for record keeping.
• Ability to lift and restrain animals as needed.
