American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position specializing in cardiac surgery and critical care, with night shift availability and every other weekend requirement.

• Hospital-based Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) setting
• Patient population includes adults through geriatrics with diagnoses such as post-cardiac surgery (CABG, valve repair), CAD (STEMI, NSTEMI), AFib with RVR, cardiogenic shock, peripheral vascular bypasses, EVAR, and thoracic cases (VATS)
• 8-bed unit with an average daily census of 6
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:30–08:00
• Every other weekend required
• PRN floating required to IMC, other units within specialty, and sister facilities within scope
• No on-call requirements
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled

• Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact state currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of CVICU or relevant critical care experience required
• First-time travelers considered with 2+ years of open heart experience

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients in a high-acuity ICU environment
• Navy scrubs preferred
• Any time-off requests must be disclosed upfront at the time of initial consideration
