A respected acute care healthcare organization is hiring a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to support its child and adolescent psychiatric services. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity offering long-term stability, strong interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful patient impact. The role focuses on therapeutic engagement, psychiatric nursing care, and patient/family education in a structured behavioral health setting.
Position Overview· Permanent, full-time, direct-hire role
· Child and adolescent behavioral health population
· Inpatient psychiatric nursing environment
· Group-based treatment modalities
· Patient advocacy–focused care model
· Collaborative, multidisciplinary treatment team
· Emphasis on education, safety, and therapeutic engagement
· Assigned to day, evening, night, or rotating shifts per departmental policy
· Required to work weekends based on unit needs
· Scheduled off at least three holidays per year
· Occasional overtime expected
· Hourly pay range: $33.00 – $52.80 (commensurate with experience)

· Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to child and adolescent patients
· Facilitate and participate in therapeutic groups, including:
- Symptom management
- Medication education
- Anger management
- Relaxation and stress management
- Discharge planning and healthy lifestyle education
· Support patients with diagnoses such as depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and anxiety disorders
· Act as a patient advocate, ensuring safe, compassionate, and therapeutic care
· Educate patients and families on treatment plans and self-care strategies
· Safely administer and manage medications as required
· Utilize equipment and technology competently
· Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
· Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of permanent residency
· American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
· Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred
