Shifts:

• Days: 07:30–19:30 (3x12)

• Nights: 20:00–08:00 (3x12)
  Schedule: Alternating Days/Nights, Every Other Weekend (EOW)

The PACU RN provides high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures. This role requires strong critical-care assessment skills, rapid patient stabilization, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

• Minimum 2 years PACU experience required

• Will consider first-time travelers with a combined 3–5 years PACU experience plus minimum 2 years ICU experience

• Active Maryland RN License

• BLS

• ACLS

• PALS

• NIHSS

• Daily Census: 15–20 patients

• Common Surgical Procedures:

  • Orthopedics

  • Cardiothoracic (CTS)

  • Neurosurgery

  • Vascular

  • General Surgery

  • Thoracic

  • Urology

  • Gynecology

• Scrubs: Navy Blue

• Holidays: Required as scheduled

• Weekends: Every other weekend

• Floating: Required within PACU specialty if census is low

• On-Call: Currently not implemented; if introduced, travelers must comply (30–45 days advance notice provided)
