Position Overview
This position is an intermittent RN position available in the Geriatrics and Extended Care, Community Living Center (CLC) - Unit 14A at the Perry Point Medical Center, VA Maryland Health Care System.
ResponsibilitiesAt least one RN position is available in the Geriatrics and Extended Care, Community Living Center (CLC) at the Perry Point Medical Center, VA Maryland Health Care System. The CLC provides nursing care to long‑term/dementia care, post‑acute, and rehabilitation residents. The nurse functions interdependently in carrying out the nursing process, nursing orders, policies and procedures as they relate to the resident's plan of care.
The nurse demonstrates leadership in delivering and improving holistic care through collaborative strategies with others. The nurse serves as a role model when functioning as a team leader or charge nurse under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or designee. The nurse collaborates with other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team in planning, developing, and coordinating the care for the residents and their family.
The position is accountable to the Nurse Manager.
