Family Nurse Practitioner – Solomons, MD

Patriot Urgent Care is a leading urgent care operator in Maryland dedicated to providing a patient experience that enables people to get in, get out, and get better. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner who delivers high‑quality clinical care in a fast‑paced urgent care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage episodic and chronic conditions for patients aged 2 and up as the sole advanced practice provider during walk‑in and same‑day appointments.
  • Perform minor office procedures such as laceration repair, incision & drainage, toenail removal, and orthopedic splinting.
  • Administer physicals including sports, DOT, pre‑employment, and annual examinations.
  • Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as a registered Nurse Practitioner (preferred).
  • Master’s degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) and valid state license.
  • ABMS board certification in internal medicine or family practice preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, blood‑borne pathogens, and other federal & state regulations.
  • Understanding of medical coding and billing.
  • Detail‑oriented and confident in best medical practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with all patient interactions.
  • Proficient with PC applications (Internet, e‑mail, Microsoft Office) and EMR systems.
  • Experience with occupational health practices, including DOT qualification, drug‑testing protocols, employee physicals, and OSHA guidelines.
