Overview

The full-time Pastor of Care is responsible for providing pastoral oversight of the care needs for Grace Community Church. The Pastor of Care will triage care needs, empower lay leaders and lead our various care ministries, oversee benevolence, and collaborate with other pastors, elders, and staff to ensure care remains healthy, coordinated and effective.

Character

He is a self-aware, spiritually mature disciple as embodied by our five marks: spiritually deep, gospel fluent, emotionally mature, culturally intelligent, and missionally engaged. He is a humble servant whose gentleness, compassion, and courage remind others of Jesus. He lives a multi-ethnic life, demonstrated through friendships and a willingness to welcome cross-cultural experiences and learning as a way to know and love God deeper.

About

You

You lead out of your marriage and embody emotional health, living in rhythms that keep you deeply rooted in the love of Jesus. You prioritize being present for people, and create the space to do so. You equip people through teaching and modeling in order to make mature disciples and meet needs. You foster healthy environments for people to flourish in community.

Most importantly, you believe in the centrality of the gospel as the means for an abundant life, so your work to equip, teach, and care flows from, and points to, the power of the Gospel. You long to do all of this in a community of pastors.
