Overview
The Advancement Coordinator cultivates relationships with community members, organizations, businesses and churches to tell the story of House of Faith and build partnerships that support the House of Faith mission. This role advances the organization through marketing, church relations, professional relations, development/fundraising, community networking and donor relations. They understand these duties are integral to sustaining the community footprint and day-to-day operations of House of Faith.
Reports to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities- Ministry
- Reflect the character of Christ in the way we treat community members, donors and potential partners
- Participate and lead in ministry programs that oversee and teach children, youth and families
- Prayerfully seek the Lord’s direction for House of Faith and our students, families and partners
- Honor the Lord in pursuing excellence and maintaining professionalism in all interactions
- Advancement
- Communicate clearly the mission, vision and needs of House of Faith
- Make connections with businesses, organizations and churches to bring support to House of Faith
- Keep a running list of people to meet with and work the list for opportunities & partnerships
- Develop a record keeping system to track visits and a follow up
- Keep consistent records of visits for each connection based on the record keeping system, including resources, donation levels, follow-up plans and more
- Connect with existing partners to express thanks, keep them informed of HOF happenings and needs, and explore additional partnership opportunities
- Keep track of and schedule opportunities to promote the House of Faith organization and address needs in all areas of giving, praying and serving
- Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to explore recruiting opportunities for volunteers and help set up recruitment opportunities
- Attend promotional and recruitment events working with the team to make sure events are covered
- Marketing & Development
- Develop marketing systems
- Work with the Development Specialist to create a system of donor care and communication
- Identify fundraising opportunities through special events and serve in leadership with event teams
- Establish community luncheon dates and lead team in coordinating details
- Manage a system for luncheon invites and follow-up
- Identify ideas for new marketing efforts and development and fundraising events
- Oversee/create forms and mail outs when needed
- Merge & print mailouts when needed
- Prepare and mail bulk mail when needed
- Data Management & Reception (when needed)
- Enter all pertinent partnership data to ACS or other established systems
- Maintain accurate individual and family information
- Maintain confidentiality with all people’s information
- Retrieve data as needed for Advancement purposes
- Produce reports for Advancement needs
- Answer phones, greet and direct visitors when needed
- Communicate with schools, community partners, and HOF families for advancement purposes
- Team
- Engage with the team in unity both spiritually and in helping one another
- Work, communicate and collaborate closely with the Executive Director
- Work closely and collaborate with the Development & Grant Writing Specialist
- Work closely and collaborate with the Associate Director for Special Events and projects
- Work closely with other teams to understand the happenings of the organization
- All other duties as assigned
- Qualifications
- Able to be knowledgeable about HOF and clearly communicate the mission; friendly and approachable
- 2 years of experience in advancement/community engagement type roles (preferred)
- Detail oriented
- Organized
- Able to communicate clearly in all forms
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to learn and use internal data systems
- Able to sustain focus
- Have a valid US driver’s license
- Able to follow and give detailed instructions
- Ability to train others when necessary
- Physical Requirements:
- Sit/stand for long periods
- Be able to lift 10-25 lbs.
- Kneel or crouch at times.
- Full-Time Salaried position; paid bi-weekly, based on qualifications and experience (starting from $37,450)

Schedule:- Monday – 9:00am–9:00pm (2 hour lunch)
- Tuesday – 9:00am–5:00pm
- Wednesday & Thursday - 9:00am–6:00pm
- Friday – 9:00am–5:00pm
- Summer schedule varies from the school year schedule based on events and programs.
- Some programs and several special events will occur after hours and on weekends throughout the year.
- Some events will require travel.
