Quality Control Technician - Electrical / Manufacturing
Hanover, MD
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-5:00 PM or 5:00 PM-3:30 AM
$20-$22/hour (based on experience)
Temp-to-Hire | Weekly Pay
Steel/Composite Toe Footwear Required
We are hiring a Quality Control Technician to inspect electrical products, identify defects, and ensure all materials and assembled units meet strict safety and performance standards. This hands-on, fast-paced role is perfect for a Quality Control Technician with electrical knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and strong attention to detail.
What You'll Do
As a Quality Control Technician, you will:
- Inspect incoming materials, in-process builds, and finished electrical products
- Detect defects, inconsistencies, and quality issues using visual, mechanical, and electrical checks
- Perform electrical tests such as continuity checks, functional tests, and dielectric testing
- Verify assembly accuracy using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications
- Document test data, inspection results, and non-conformances with precision
- Communicate defects, trends, and corrective actions to production and engineering teams
- Ensure inspection tools and testing equipment are properly maintained and calibrated
- Follow safety guidelines, quality processes, and standard work instructions
To succeed as a Quality Control Technician, you should have:
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, wiring, or component function
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment
- Background in electrical inspection, wiring, panel assembly, or QC roles preferred
- Detail-oriented, safety-focused mindset with the ability to identify defects accurately
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
- Ability to lift 50-80 lbs and stand for long periods
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently
- Hands-on technical role with long-term growth potential
