Location: Sparks
Roles & Responsibilities
- Build, integrate, and understand assembly processes for instruments in production.
- Perform functional and release testing of instruments according to test instructions.
- Analyze test data to determine pass/fail outcomes and provide solutions for failed results.
- Provide system performance optimization solutions.
- Identify defects and recommend design or process improvements.
- Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and workmanship standards.
- Train associates in mechanical and testing activities as needed.
- Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing as required.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, safety, and quality standards.
- Perform material handling functions for raw materials and sub-assemblies.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company procedures.
- Work overtime when required to meet business needs.
- AA degree in Mechatronics or relevant field with 0 years' experience
OR
5 years' experience in electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting. - Demonstrated ability to support testing of moderately complex instruments.
- Proven leadership ability, including mentoring and coaching team members.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing) projects and initiatives.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, interpreting measurements, and understanding specifications.
- Strong mechanical skills with tools such as torque drivers, gauges, bits, etc.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Time management and ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Understanding and commitment to GMP and Continuous Improvement practices.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Education:
- AA degree in mechatronics or relevant field with 0 years' experience,
OR - 5 years' experience in electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting.
- AA degree in mechatronics or relevant field with 0 years' experience,
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, analyzing charts, following diagrams, basic arithmetic).
- Basic computer proficiency in Windows environment.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the USA.
