Position Summary

ASSA ABLOY Fenestration‑ Williamsport is seeking a Production Planner who will report directly to the Production Control Manager. This position is accountable for planning and scheduling activities to ensure manufacturing meets the production schedule and customer demands. This role is a hands‑on role and will be expected to communicate frequently with internal team members regarding material shortages, production status and production needs.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and prioritize shop floor work orders to ensure maximum performance.
  • Develop and maintain production planning processes to maximize material usages and finished goods outputs.
  • Conduct daily/weekly reviews with warehouse, customer service, internal and external manufacturing plants to meet and exceed delivery targets.
  • Closely monitor shop orders to ensure operations finish on time.
  • Communicate daily and weekly to production team leads, supervisors on goals and deliverables. When production issues arise, follow the escalation process to the stakeholders in timely manner.
  • Understand manufacturing workflow for multiple products
  • Obtain and report production outputs to the management team
Knowledge ABOUT Skills, and Abilities
  • 3‑5 Years of production planning, purchasing, and materials management experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP, and lean manufacturing processes.
Educational & Certification
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Operations‑related is required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Software Skills
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
