Responsibilities- The role involves preparing surfaces by cleaning and sandblasting parts to ensure proper coating adhesion.
- It includes applying powder coating or wet paint using spray guns and automated equipment while adhering to specifications and quality standards.
- Responsibilities also cover setting up, operating, and maintaining spray booths, curing ovens, and related machinery.
- Quality control is essential, requiring inspection of finished surfaces for uniformity, adhesion, coverage, and defects, along with performing touch‑ups or rework when necessary.
- The position demands accurate color matching and mixing to achieve desired finishes, strict compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety policies, and proper handling of chemicals and PPE.
- Routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of coating equipment are expected, as well as documenting production data, batch details, and inspection results.
- Collaboration with production supervisors, assemblers, and quality inspectors is key to meeting project timelines and specifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in coatings preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in industrial painting or powder coating.
- Knowledge of surface preparation, masking, coating application, and curing processes.
- Familiarity with spray guns, powder coating systems, and curing ovens.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Physical stamina for long periods, lifting parts, and working in hot environments.

Salary: $19-$24/hr DOE
