We are expanding and seeking a professional, self-motivated individual to fill the role of Warehouse Receiving Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize and monitor the receiving and distribution of all merchandise from suppliers to ensure a smooth workflow and timely distribution to stocking zones.
  • Maintain a high level of receiving productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain staffing levels to accomplish the receiving mission in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Plan and coordinate work, train and motivate staff, and monitor and evaluate performance of receiving associates.
  • Ensure receiving associates can safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations.
  • Develop crew leaders to oversee daily routines of their assigned crew members.
  • Maintain equipment structure and availability to accomplish the receiving mission safely and effectively.
  • Monitor the unloading of merchandise into the receiving department, stage merchandise for speedy receiving, and ensure receiving reports accurately reflect items received.
  • Ensure completeness and acceptable condition of shipments.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips and receiver reports.
  • Monitor the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry.
  • Monitor and measure receiving performance for accuracy of locator and receiving reporting.
  • Prepare bills of lading for outgoing shipments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Staff Management
  • Lead and supervise a team of receiving agents.
  • Counsels, records and disciplines receiving associates as necessary.
Supervise Operations
  • Maintain a meticulous standard for cleanliness, organization and safety throughout the receiving department.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure safety and compliance practices meet DOT and OSHA standards.
  • Administer and follow 5S warehouse principles on a routine basis.
  • Direct movement of shipments from the shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety.
  • Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
