Position: Sr. Systems Engineer with Security Clearance

Big Bear.ai is seeking a Systems Engineer with an active TS/SCI with Poly to join our team and provide Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) support for the GATEKEEPER product. This is your opportunity to collaborate with developers, QA, Dev Ops, and system engineers to build and manage GATEKEEPER product installations for DoD customers.

Why This Role Matters As a Systems Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the success of the Middleware III Bridge contract, which delivers ICAM system services to DoD customers. Your expertise will help shape the future of secure access management, making a real difference in national security.

What you will do In this role, you'll:
* Support the SDLC:
Collaborate with development and QA teams to assist with system testing, validation, and performance tuning to ensure production readiness.
* Ensure Security Compliance:
Maintain system compliance with security best practices and organizational standards.
* Document & Communicate:
Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and support procedures. Clearly communicate architecture and design concepts to stakeholders.
* Collaborate Cross-Functionally:
Work closely with developers, testers, and product owners to align system behavior with business and technical requirements.
* Monitor & Optimize Systems:
Implement and maintain system monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively identify and resolve issues.
* Leverage Cloud Technologies:
Utilize cloud platforms and technologies to enhance system performance and scalability. What you need to have
* Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph (required).

* Experience:

10+ years of Systems Engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

* Education:

Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. (Five years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, for a total of 15 years.) What We'd Like You to Have
