Job Title: Certified Microsoft System Administrator (Proposal Stage)

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Microsoft-based systems to ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft server environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, and other related technologies, provide support to end-users for hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and technologies to protect systems and data from unauthorized access and cyber threats. Manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures or disasters.
  • Provide end-to-end problem tracking and resolution for technical support requests on Access Board's systems.
  • Field support calls on Access Board's systems from end users and recording all reported issues as trouble tickets in Service Now or equivalent Trouble Ticketing System that is approved by USAB.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities to keep systems up-to-date and secure, maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Monitor and manage network performance and provide advice on resolution of identified problems. Service provided will include but not limited to:
    Cloud Support Services, Mobile Device Application/Security/Management Support, Network Architecture, System Engineering, Network and Voice Support, Desktop Engineering (Physical and Virtual), Capacity and Performance Management
  • Deliver Tier 1, 2, and 3 Support and Operations, Subject Matter Expertise (SME), Standard Configuration Development, Strategic Enterprise Infrastructure Planning and Design, Technology Modernization, Backup and Disaster Recovery, Future Projects, Documentation Development,
  • Actively participating in meetings, teleconferences, working groups, government wide lines of business and public/private collaborations
  • Monitor and plan for system capacity needs to ensure the infrastructure can scale to meet organizational demands.
  • Respond to and resolve critical system issues and incidents, provide root cause analysis and implementing corrective measures, train and guide junior IT staff and end-users on system usage and best practices.
  • Collaborate with vendors for hardware and software procurement, support, and maintenance agreements. Assist in the development and enforcement of IT policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Ensure systems are compliant with internal and external audit requirements and participate in audit processes as needed, stay current with emerging technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions that enhance the IT infrastructure.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with mid-level and senior level as a System Administrator Experience with Microsoft 365 platform, cloud infrastructure systems, cloud servers, Windows Server Active Directory, Microsoft Entra , Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Purview Records Management, enterprise backup/restore, VMware vcenter and other related experience that has adequately prepared the individual for the duties under this contract.
  • Ability to develop plans for any event that affects the network, and coordinate with and gain approval from the Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) Management Team
  • Skilled to coordinate and execute the integration of new systems and applications into the existing infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate experience to evaluate and optimize system performance, including server tuning and network optimization.
  • Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of major incidents.
