Position: Senior Proposal Writer with Security Clearance

Job Description Tharros is hiring a Senior Proposal/Technical Writer to join our team. This role will support our Business Development department in creating complete and compelling proposals which may include technical responses, resume templates, and other documentation as needed, while providing mentorship to junior proposal staff.

Key Responsibilities:

* Writes and edits technical documents to respond to RFPs, RFIs, etc.
* Writes and edits resume templates to show how candidates meet customer requirements.
* Meets with project managers and other team members to learn about specific capabilities or requirements.
* Participates in kick-off meetings, strategy sessions, and proposal project planning.
* Assesses audience needs and evaluation criteria; adjusts tone, messaging, and technical content to maximize proposal scoring potential.
* Plans writing processes and sets timelines and deadlines.
* Creates or collaborates with graphic designers to develop compliant, visually compelling diagrams, process flows, organizational charts, and other visual aids.
* Gathers feedback from supervisor to improve technical documents.
* Mentors and provides guidance to junior proposal writers, reviewing and improving their content for clarity, compliance, and persuasiveness.
* Maintains proposal content libraries and best practices.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
* Experience with specific government agencies or contract vehicles relevant to Tharros' business (preferred).
* Background in intelligence, cybersecurity, or related technical domains (preferred). Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, or related field required
* 5 years or more of related experience required including proposal technical writing within the government and defense industry
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent writing and grammatical skills
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text
* Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently
* Ability to edit and proofread work of colleagues
