Position: Communications Network Engineer with Security Clearance

Job #: 3019151 Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Communications Network Engineer with one of our DoD/ Government clients. This will be a long-term contract opportunity. You’ll work 5 days onsite each week in Indian Head, MD providing mission critical services supporting the Navy & Marine Corps

Onsite expectation: 5 days onsite per week
Clearance Level: Secret Contract Rate: $40-50 / Hourly on W2 Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:

• Active, DoD-issued Secret security clearance

• CompTIA Security+ CE Certification

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) OR ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment

• 8-10+ years of relevant experience
• Specialized experience in the performance and configuration of networks as well as the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks. Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Evaluate communication hardware and software, as well as troubleshoot Local Area Networks/Base Area Networks/Wide Area Networks (LAN/BAN/WAN), and other network related problems.

• Administer LAN/BAN/WANs.

• Schedule conversions and cutovers.
