Business Intelligence Analyst I/II
OverviewThe Business Intelligence Analyst (BIA) supports the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data models that drive insight and decision-making across the organization. This role partners with business and IT teams to deliver secure, reliable, and easy-to-use reporting solutions, with a strong focus on self-service analytics and data visualization.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic/data models
- Develop clear, actionable data visualizations that highlight trends and key metrics
- Create recurring and ad-hoc reports using enterprise data warehouse and source systems
- Support requirements gathering and translate business needs into effective data models
- Use Power BI, SQL, etc. to develop basic to intermediate analytics solutions
- Collaborate with IT and Info Sec to ensure data integrity, governance, and security
- Assist senior analysts in solving business problems through data analysis
- Stay current with Power BI features, best practices, and BI trends
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience developing BI solutions (5+ years for level II)
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Power BI
- Working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle)
- Strong analytical, data modeling, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with Azure Data Services
- Familiarity with the Microsoft BI stack
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages
- Exposure to financial institution or regulated‑industry data environments
- Ability to analyze large datasets and present insights clearly to diverse audiences
- Strong data visualization and storytelling skills
- Knowledge of and successfully demonstrated experience with MS Office Products, i.e. Access, Excel, Word, Power Point
- Experience creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and presentations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality
- Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and statistical software
