IO Planner - Special Activities Planner; SAP Specialist – Fort Meade, MD - DOD TS​/SCI - POLY

Responsibilities

Peraton and its Operational Planning, Implementation and Assessment Services Team is seeking an experienced IO Planner – (SAP Specialist) to integrate SAP functions and tasks into all facets of USCYBERCOM level planning. This position is based in Fort Meade, MD as part of USCYBERCOM.

• Provide SAP core, related capabilities, and sensitive operational support and products during day-to-day, combat operations, contingencies, crisis action, disaster relief, and exercises required in supporting operations.
• Provide information‑related capabilities and sensitive activities into operations orders, annexes, and evaluation/assessment plans.
• Review, analyze, and advise on impact of national level strategies, policies, and joint doctrine.
• Develop IO Planner (SAP Specialist) appendices, annexes, tabs, estimates, etc., including, but not limited to:
  Electronic Warfare (EW), capabilities supporting operations in the information environment (OIE), Military Deception (MILDEC), Cyberspace Operations (CO), Operations Security (OPSEC), and Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (IJSTO).
• Research, develop, utilize, analyze, and assess all information‑related tools and capabilities, including, but not limited to:
  Electronic Warfare (EW), MISO, Military Deception (MILDEC), Cyberspace Operations (CO), Operations Security (OPSEC), and Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (IJSTO).
• Provide focused academic outreach, experiments, and scientific application integration.
• Provide development, planning, staffing, coordination, execution, and assessment of sensitive activities.

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of planning experience or a combined total of a minimum of 12 years between education and relevant service

• Special Activities Planners Course Completion (required)
• Information Operations / MISO/PSYOP (30/37A/37F) career fields.
• Knowledge of Special Capabilities and SAP operations and how it is integrated into joint operational planning process, military decision‑making process, and military campaign plan planning, targeting processes and expertise in developing and accessing tactical and operational level Information Operations plans and orders.
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience with SAP planning at the service or joint level in support of operations at Combatant Commands or Joint Task Forces – especially in CYBER Operations.
• Have a working knowledge of Information Operations (IO), military deception (MILDEC), operations security (OPSEC), electronic warfare (EW), and cyberspace operations missions, tasks, and overall war fighting functions that support operations, understand how to integrate Joint capabilities, and be capable of synchronizing activities of mutual concern.
• Knowledge of service departments (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force) functions and their relationships to CCMD to coordinate MISO/PSYOP actions in appropriate channels, e.g., Army, Navy, Air Force, or Joint.
• Experience with integrating, coordinating, and synchronizing adjacent and supporting operations with interagency and intelligence community entities, as well as developing support for related capabilities and their activities. Be familiar with, certified in, or have applicable operational/field time experience in:
  • Military Deception (MILDEC)
  • OPSEC
  • EW
  • Cyberspace operations
  • Coordinating intelligence requirements
