Microstrategy developer with Hadoop knowledge

Responsibilities
  • Act as a Micro Strategy expert to advise customers on best practices in deploying Micro Strategy. Work directly with our clients, prospects and partners.
  • Create functional and technical requirements as an input to application design, business solution components and prototypes.
  • Develop business intelligence applications for data analysis optimized for best performance and scalability using Micro Strategy technology.
  • Fine tune the Micro Strategy project and project configuration settings, create strategy for scheduling, report delivery, and server idling during data loads.
  • Support end user and product development requests.
    • Qualifications
  • 4 - 8 years of work experience in Micro Strategy design, architecture, development and administration.
  • Good knowledge of data/dimension modeling and concepts (star model, snowflake).
  • Hands‑on experience with one or more databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with installation and configuration of all Micro Strategy components including Desktop, Administrator, Intelligence Server, and Web.
  • Expertise on Windows and UNIX, scripting (Batch, Shell, Perl, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of data warehousing and ETL techniques, best practices and technologies.
  • Good knowledge on VLDB settings & performance tuning of reports, Flex and Flash (MSTR SDK).
  • Hands‑on experience in report development and creating interactive dynamic dashboards.
  • 9+ years of experience in IT industry.
  • Must be strong in Micro Strategy.
  • Must have strong knowledge of Hadoop.
    • Preferred Background
  • 3 - 6 years of work experience in Micro Strategy design, architecture, development and administration.
