DA Data Analyst

Job Description

A data analyst is responsible for collecting, cleaning, and interpreting data to help a business make informed decisions and improve performance.

• Gather data from multiple sources such as databases, APIs, and internal systems, then ensure its accuracy and completeness before analysis.
• Clean, transform, and organize large datasets to remove errors, handle missing values, and standardize formats.
• Analyze data using statistical methods and queries to identify patterns, trends, and correlations linked to key business metrics.

• Build dashboards and reports using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI to present insights in a clear, visual way.
• Create regular performance reports and ad hoc analyses for stakeholders, highlighting actionable insights and opportunities for improvement.
• Communicate complex findings in simple language so non-technical teams can understand and act on recommendations.

• Maintain and update databases or data systems, including writing SQL queries to extract and manipulate data.
• Monitor data quality, identify discrepancies, and implement checks or processes to keep data accurate and reliable.
• Support data governance and compliance by following policies on data privacy, security, and documentation.

• Strong skills in SQL and at least one analytical tool or language such as Excel, Python, or R.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and basic statistical concepts.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and good communication skills to work with stakeholders across business functions.
