3) - 25202 role at Mission Technologies, a division of HII. This position resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. WS encompasses cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5

ISR systems. The Minotaur team in Hanover, MD supports a mission management tool called the Minotaur Mission Processor, which ingests data from sensors on manned and unmanned surveillance aircraft to enhance an operator’s ability to identify tracks from various on-board sensors, from both sea and land.

• Member of a team of system administrators to maintain the reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for system administrators
• Plan and execute software upgrades, patches, and security fixes in a timely manner
• Manage and monitor system performance, capacity, and availability to ensure maximum uptime
• Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot complex problems related to systems and applications
• Work closely with corporate IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems
• Keep up-to-date with new technologies and trends in system administration and provide recommendations for improving our infrastructure
• Manage and configure local and remote-site network switches and Fortinet Fortigate VPN endpoints

• 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in Linux administration (e.g. Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu)
• Experience with virtualization (e.g. KVM, VMware, Hyber-V)
• Experience with configuring, diagnosing and repairing computer systems
• Strong knowledge with scripting concepts and languages
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US level Secret clearance

• An active US level Secret clearance
• Demonstrated expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), including system installation, configuration, patch management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills

Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the Systems Analyst discipline.
