Senior Database Engineer – Position Overview

Location: Jessup, Maryland
Clearance: TS/SCI Full-Scope Polygraph

We are looking for a Senior Database Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain databases that support system architecture and operations. If you love solving complex data challenges and optimizing database performance, this could be a great fit.

• Design and build database structures to store and manage data efficiently.
• Support system improvements, data flow analysis, and database administration.
• Develop and maintain database parser and loading software.
• Translate business and IT needs into usable database schemas using queries, scripts, and macros.
• Lead the development of databases, ensuring they balance performance, security, and scalability.
• Oversee database integration, cloud-based storage, and optimization efforts.

• 10+ years of experience as a Database Engineer working on complex systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or an extra 5 years of experience instead).
• Strong experience with database development, query optimization, and cloud storage solutions.
• Experience with Mongo

  DB.
• Experience using Django or Flask.
• REST endpoint and microservices.
• Active TS/SCI Full-Scope Polygraph.

Salary Range: $125,000 – $155,000 (Commensurate with experience)
