Payroll Administrator – Timonium, MD About the Company and Payroll Administrator Opportunity
- CFS is partnering with a long‑standing client to hire a Payroll Administrator on a contractual basis to cover a maternity leave. - Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm; 80% in‑office in Baltimore, MD (Fridays remote)
- Reports to: Human Resources Manager and VP of Finance
- Salary: $70,000–$80,000 depending on experience
- Start date: Mid February 2026
Job Duties for the Payroll Administrator:

- Manage two separate bi‑weekly payroll runs
- Maintain early‑wage‑access reports
- Process garnishment and child support orders
- Enter and update employee deductions, direct deposit details, and tax withholding data in the payroll system
- Audit pre‑payroll and post‑payroll reports
- Validate, update, and maintain employee records within Paycom
- Review and track timeclock entries to ensure proper payroll processing
- Manage PTO balances, accruals, and payout processing
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad‑hoc payroll reporting
- Maintain relationships and communication with payroll service vendors
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed
Qualifications for the Payroll Administrator:
- 4+ years' payroll processing experience required
- Strong understanding of payroll fundamentals and multistate payroll processing
- Preference given to candidates with knowledge of Paycom software
- Experience using Paychex and/or Kelly Benefits a plus
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
