• 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Strong Spanish and English speaking skills
• Experience in EMR, Epic preferred
• Experience verifying insurance and handling prior authorizations
• High call volume handling experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Medical Assistant diploma or Certified/Registered as a Medical Assistant

• Triage patients
• Prepare medical records
• Room patients
• Provide clinical help
• Welcome patients and visitors by greeting in person or telephone; answer or refer inquiries
• Optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone
• Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient arrival; review service delivery; remind provider of delays
• Comfort patients by anticipating anxieties; answer questions; maintain reception area
• Ensure availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records
• Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial info
• Perform data entry and processing
• Schedule appointments
• Maintain medical records
