- Coordinates all admissions paperwork, assuring accurate and timely completion of initial paperwork or electronic entry into PCC, dissemination of patient information to appropriate departments, etc.
- Assists in the admission process by entering admissions through QADT, entering immunization status and pulling Face Sheet from PCC and placing onto the hard charts
- Greets residents, families and visitors and provides assistance as needed.
- Assists in the transcription of all Physicians orders electronically. Maintain proficiency in the electronic medical record by attending all required training.
- Monitors, orders and stocks supplies, forms, etc. for unit, assuring that supplies are available and stocked in an orderly manner.
- Enters physician visits into PCC, accesses and keeps up to date the resident calendar within PCC.
- Is able to scan documents into PCC including weekly Wound Round Reports.
- Enters vital signs and weights and runs pertinent reports monthly for tracking
- Makes appointments for patients and verifies transportation arrangements
- Answers phones and accomplishes all copying, faxing, etc. accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintains unit files and bulletin boards.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in healthcare preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work well with staff, residents and family members.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Basic computer skills required.
