CustomerExperience
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
- Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers.
- Under the supervision of the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state, federal, and company policy. Review and comply with the Wal‑green Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Perform duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring correct entry, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for possible interactions. Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow.
- Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
- Strictly adhere to the Wal‑green Co. policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities.
- Be responsible and accountable for registering all related sales on the assigned cash register, collecting and handling cash as required. Take customers to the OTC aisle when possible to assist in locating products.
- Handle telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist’s personal attention, including those to physicians.
- Process (correct and resubmit) manual claims for third‑party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and perform other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
- Assist and support the Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals. Maintain knowledge of company asset protection techniques, and file claims for warehouse overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods involving Rx drugs.
