Optometric Technician - Medical Assistant - Part Time - Bilingual Spanish

Join us at America s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses as an Optometric Technician, assisting in patient flow, conducting pre-screenings, and ensuring quality eye care. This part-time role is bilingual in Spanish.

Pay

Base pay range: $15.75/hr – $18.33/hr.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-screenings and testing for patients before optometrist examination.
  • Maintain a professional atmosphere and the appearance of the doctor s office and pre-test room.
  • Understand ocular terminology, diseases, and abbreviations.
  • Explain preliminary examinations to patients.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and perform testing on patients prior to doctor examination.
  • Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings to eligible patients.
  • Perform exam pre-screening and review prescriptions/patient records carefully.
  • Consult with optician, doctor, or retail management when necessary.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained.
Hours and Schedule

We are closed on Sundays. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling.

Qualifications
  • Previous retail/optical experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn optical knowledge.
  • Clear and concise instruction to customers.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
