Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM

• 3x12 shift schedule

• Every other weekend required (6 per contract)

• Float required within skillset

• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms

• 2 years of experience required

• Telemetry experience required

• First time travelers accepted

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

• 36 hours of orientation provided

• Two supervisor references required

• Must have compact license or MD license

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with conditions including CHF, MI, atrial fibrillation, cardiac dysrhythmias, stroke/TIA, ESRD, acute kidney failure, seizures, COPD, diabetes, pneumonia, and sepsis

• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias with telemetry monitoring

• Perform special procedures including peritoneal dialysis and NIHSS assessments

• Use safe patient handling equipment and ceiling lifts available in every room

• Work with interdisciplinary team including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

This healthcare facility operates a 34-bed telemetry unit with a daily census of 27 patients, providing comprehensive cardiac and medical monitoring services. The facility features modern equipment including ceiling lifts in every room and safe patient handling equipment to ensure optimal patient and staff safety. The organization offers robust interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various diagnostic services to provide comprehensive patient care.
