General Summary of Position
Med Star Health is looking for a full-time Patient Service Coordinator to join the Cardiology department in Olney, MD. The Patient Service Coordinator provides customer service, greets patients, handles check-in/check-out, gathers demographic information, conducts insurance verifications, collects copayments, and schedules appointments. PrimaryDuties
- Manages the intake of patients into the practice and screens for emergent conditions
- Registers patients, verifies and explains patient responsibility for payment
- Coordinates efficient patient flow through the practice or department
- 6 months to 1 year of high-quality customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- High School Diploma
This position has a hiring range of $18.33 - $31.61
