We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Tax Manager to join our growing tax team. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, supporting tax planning initiatives, mentoring junior staff, and assisting clients with compliance and advisory needs. The ideal candidate brings strong technical tax knowledge, excellent client service skills, and the ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S‑corporations, and C‑corporations.
- Conduct tax research and provide guidance on technical tax matters.
- Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize client tax liabilities and support long‑term financial objectives.
- Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
- Review work prepared by associates and provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information, resolve issues, and provide advisory support.
- Assist with responding to tax notices and audit inquiries as needed.
- Stay current on changes in tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Support process improvement initiatives and help enhance internal efficiencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA license or CPA candidate strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of public accounting tax experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
- Experience preparing multi‑entity tax returns.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Exposure to tax planning and consulting engagements.
- Experience mentoring or reviewing staff work.
- Experience working with high‑net‑worth individuals or complex business structures.
